Chilean Presence at Solutions COP21
With support from the Chilean PTO (INAPI), two Chilean inventors (the representatives of the WILEFKO project and of the company “Bioled”) will attend Solutions COP21 in France, which promotes sustainable solutions to protect the planet.
The technology developed by “Bioled,” patented in 2011, offers energy savings to the salmon industry. Regarding “WILEFKO” project, this invention was patented in 2014 and is related to the use of the water waves to generate electricity. It does not pollute or generate toxic waste, and has great potential in a country like Chile. “Participating in Solutions cop21 (…) allows us to show that Chile, a country at the end of the world, also has the skills to create new technologies with high global potential,” said Eduardo Egaña, the leader of WILEFKO project.
“It’s a real honor for INAPI to collaborate with Chilean inventors of clean technologies so they can be part of this initiative, which will bring technology developers together from around the world. Chile has much to contribute in the fight against climate change and this showed that it can be done thanks to the generation of new knowledge, duly patented,” said Maximiliano Santa Cruz, National Director of INAPI.
