Moeller Attorney to speak at ABA Conference
Mariano Municoy, lawyer and director of Business and Professional Development at Moeller, will speak at a panel session of the American Bar Association (ABA) 31st Annual IP Law Conference, which will be held on April 6-8, 2015 in Bethesda, Maryland.
The name of the panel, in which Hahn Loeser Partner Nathan Webb of Akron OH, also will be a speaker, is “The Power of IP: International Trademark Litigation Tactics.” The full description states “…The globalization and the Internet have changed the world of trademark litigation. While trademark conflicts in the old days were often confined to the domestic market, they nowadays spread out to other countries in a matter of seconds. Since those infringements often call for rapid action, corporate and outside counsel are required to have in-depth knowledge of litigation means and mechanisms in other important markets of the world. This program will explore the different means of litigation, such as cease and desist letters, preliminary injunction and permanent injunction proceedings, and the very different approaches offered in jurisdictions, such as the US, Germany, and Brazil. The panel will discuss these issues from different angles, based on their experience as corporate and outside counsel for international enterprises…”
Founded in 1878, the ABA is one of the world’s largest voluntary professional organizations, with nearly 400,000 members and more than 3,500 entities.
The conference includes presentations, workshops and panel sessions on topics covering all IP areas. For more information about this conference, please click here.
