On April 18, 2016, the Peruvian National Institute for the Defense of Free Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property (INDECOPI) joined TMclass, the international technical cooperation platform for trademarks administered by the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM).
TMclass is a free tool that helps both users and trademark examiners in the search, classification and translation of goods and services to and from any of the 40 available languages.
In addition, on April 25, 2016, the Colombian Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC) also joined TMclass.
This latest addition brings the total number of national and regional IP Offices, including OAPI, WIPO and EUIPO, in the tool to 60.
