Cynthia A Dejean
Cynthia has been a part of Moeller since 2003. Her passion for patents is reflected in her vast career and strong expertise in the matter. Cynthia joined Moeller as paralegal in the Patent Department. She quickly gained a comprehensive approach of Latin American proceedings. Always willing to learn, she was consistently assigned to different positions within the Patent department. She therefore is specialized in the filing of both PCT National Phases and Direct Filings in non-PCT countries, document management, publication and examination deadline supervision, the administration of official actions, patent registrations, payment of maintenance fees and transfers.
Cynthia is Moeller’s Head Patent Paralegal & Supervisor.
She manages and trains the paralegal team. A meticulous and responsible person, she supervises deadlines and coordinates the work of all paralegals, assisting them in their daily duties to guarantee that our clients receive the best quality service in the Latin American region. Additionally, she addresses clients’ concerns and queries about IP matters.
In 2017, she was a member of Moeller’s new IP management software confirmation and training team.
Prior to joining Moeller, Cynthia worked for well-known German companies specialized in the Chemical Industry and the Printing field. During this time, she acquired her IP experience and also became acquainted with international quality Standards such as the ISO, DIN and IRAM certification.
Cynthia graduated as a Certified German-Spanish Translator (Vereidigte Diplom-Übersetzerin für Deutsch) from the University of Buenos Aires, and has been member of the Sworn Translators’ Association of the City of Buenos Aires ever since. As a freelance translator, she specializes in the legal and technical fields. She expanded upon her experience by attending a three year of the Engineering study course. She currently works with a pool of sworn translators for all languages and technical specialties.
When not in the office, Cynthia enjoys outdoor activities such as cycling. What she, however, loves the most is spending time with her three lovely children. Cynthia is also an active charitable donor of “Maria Luisa Children’s Home (Maria Luisen Kinderheim Argentinien)” which assists needy children and teens.
