Anti – Counterfeiting LawyerLaura is a Paraguayan lawyer practicing in Argentina with over 10 years of experience in Intellectual Property. She completed her Law studies at the National University of Asunción (Asunción, Paraguay) and later on started her Master’s degree in Intellectual Property in Argentina and made the decision to permanently reside in Buenos Aires.
She joins Moeller IP in 2015 where up until 2020 she collaborated in the Trademark department providing strategic consultation and legal advice to high profile clients. She recently took on the position of Head of Anti-counterfeiting leading complex litigation strategies around the world, mainly in the Latin-American region and Emerging Economies. She guides Moeller’s clients in their enforcement efforts in a wide spectrum of alternatives ranging from precautionary measures, subtle approaches and aggressive strategies.
With sharp eyesight on the business objectives of her clients, Laura provides effective, easy and technology-based solutions in enforcing IP rights.
Outside of work, Laura likes to travel regularly, reading and practicing Ashtanga Yoga.
Qualifications
Degree in Law, Universidad Nacional de Asunción (Paraguay).
Master’s degree in Intellectual Property – LLM, FLACSO (Argentina).
Argentine Industrial Property Agent
Laura speaks Spanish, Guaraní (an indigenous Paraguayan language), English and basic Portuguese.
