María Sol Porro
Position:Trademarks Lawyer and University Professor
Sol is a lawyer, specialized in Public International and Business Law, graduated from the University of Buenos Aires in 2013. She joined Moeller’s Trademark Department in 2014. Her main practice is trademark availability and watching services, general reports about trademark proceedings as well as oppositions prosecution in Argentina. In addition, she handles Copyright, Domain disputes and is responsible for the takedown service on internet sites in Latin America. Additionally, she is a contributor to Moeller´s blog about the latest trends and updates in Latin American IP practice specifically in relation to copyright.
Since 2012, Sol was an Assistant Professor in Copyright Law at the University of Buenos Aires and became a full Professor at University of Buenos Aires in 2017. She is also a Member of the Institute of Industrial Property Law of the CPACF, the Institute of Copyright Commission of AABA and was an attendant to the WIPO’s Summer Academy on Intellectual Property in 2017.
Outside of work, Sol is an avid drummer and frequently attends live concerts.
