Mariano is an Argentine lawyer with more than 15 years of practical and academic experience dealing with the full range of IP issues locally (Argentina), regionally (Latin America) and internationally.
He joined Moeller IP Advisors in 2007. He has been advising clients in legal strategies related to the registration, protection and enforcement of patents, trademarks, domain names, advertisement claims, copyright as well as anti-counterfeiting, transfer of technology and regulatory affairs matters in Argentina, Latin America and other regions.
In 2015, Moeller appointed him Director of Business and Professional Development. In November 2017, he became a partner at the firm. One of his main extremal responsibilities is maintaining and expanding worldwide relationships with leading individuals, industries and institutions.
Internally, Mariano works closely with Moeller’s professional teams ensuring that the firm meets client’s expectations and provides the best possible range of IP services in terms of quality and cost.
Mariano regularly teaches different IP courses as an adjunct professor at Austral University (Argentina) and Chicago Kent (USA). Lecture topics include Latin American Patent & Trademark Law, Sanitary Regulatory Affairs, The Madrid & Hague Systems for the International Registration of Rights, as well as IP Management and Innovation.

His academic background is a Law degree with specialization on administrative law from the Universidad de Buenos Aires (Argentina, 2001). In 2002, he became an Argentine IP Agent (2002). He also completed a LLM in International IP Law with high honors from Chicago Kent (USA, 2004) then another LL.M. in Law and Economics from the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (Argentina, 2008).>
In addition, he has been recognized by Managing Intellectual Property as an “IP Star Individual” in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Whenever Mariano is not working or traveling, he loves to spend time with his family and friends. He is an avid tester of new cuisines, enjoys live music, theater amongst other forms of art expressions.
