Sofía has been working in the field of Intellectual Property for five years. In 2020, she joined Moeller as the Translation Coordinator.
Sofia is a Sworn English-Spanish Translator and a Scientific-Literary English-Spanish Translator, graduated from Universidad del Salvador. Additionally, in 2019, she took the course of International Spanish Copy Editor and Proofreader at Fundación Litterae to enhance her knowledge of the Spanish language and the correction of texts.
Prior to joining Moeller, she worked for several IP law firms where she not only deepened her knowledge of IP procedures, but also learnt how to handle translation processes. Her qualifications as a translator and her knowledge of the IP field perfectly combine to provide better results for clients.
As the Translation Coordinator, she acts as a bridge between internal departments, clients and translators, and ensures that the translations are ready to be filed on time. Besides, she is in charge of regularly reporting to all the teams involved in the translation process to keep them duly updated. She is constantly alert for issues that might arise in order to deliver high-quality translations on time.
When not in the office, Sofía enjoys baking, travelling and running. Besides, she is a member of an NGO called Rotaract.
Sofía speaks fluent Spanish and English, and basic Portuguese. Additionally, she is learning Polish.
