Verónica Laura Vater
Position:Lawyer and Head of Legal & Regulatory Affairs Department
Verónica has over 15 years of experience in the Intellectual Property field. A lawyer, she graduated from the University of Buenos Aires in 2000, she joined Moeller IP Advisors in 2015 and leads the Patent Legal & Regulatory Affairs Departments.
When she joined our staff, she led the Patent team guiding clients through the complex cases related to patents and designs. She developed strategies for comprehensive IP protection and managed the day-to-day teamwork encompassing the complete range of patent work, including drafting, filing and prosecution of patent and design applications, legal opinions, as well as freedom to operate analyses in the entire Latin American region.
Currently, she is leading the Patent Legal Department providing legal advice with a regional perspective to a diverse portfolio of clients. She deals daily with lawsuits related to infringements, rejections, requests for revocations, cancellations, administrative appeals, amongst others. Furthermore, she also manages and leads issues in the fields of Regulatory Affairs and Plant Varieties.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading and watching movies. Keen on music and sports, she runs, cycles and swims. Being musically inclined, she plays the guitar and is now learning to play the cello.
