Vivianne CardozoPatent Engineer and Client Relationship Manager
Vivianne is a Civil Engineer based in London. Graduated at Brasilia University (Brazil) in 2002, she moved to Rio de Janeiro starting her career in the Oil & Gas industry as an offshore pipeline engineer, working in Brazil and England until 2007, when she joined the Brazilian National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI). At the Brazilian INPI, she worked as a Patent Examiner in the field of civil engineering for 4 years then promoted to Head of Patent Division of Human Needs and Biomedical Area, managing 20 examiners for the last 7 years. Following this, Vivianne moved to England, where she joined Moeller IP Advisors in January 2019.
Working in the Oil and Gas Industry, Vivianne acquired experience with project management and relationship with clients, taking part in projects all over the world.
Along her years at Brazilian INPI, both as a patent examiner and as head of division, Vivianne gained expressive technical and legal experience in Brazilian Industrial Property System and Overseas Patent Applications. She provided technical support for lawsuits and for the writing of procedures, guidelines, norms, laws and international agreements in patents, also acting as instructor for patent examiners. In addition, she had the opportunity to join the Latin American Patent Working Group focused on stablishing a Latin America cooperative patent exam.
Furthermore, Vivianne attended few IP courses along the years working at Brazilian INPI, such as Examination Practices of Industrial Property at Japan Patent Office, International and Cooperative Patent Classification by European Patent Office and Inventions Implemented by Computer Programs at Brazilian INPI.
Outside of work, Vivianne likes cooking, wines, socializing with friends and family and traveling as much as possible.
